Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy
Oraqix is a non-injectable anesthesia periodontal gel FDA approved for patients who must undergo scaling or root planing and it is an acceptable choice for adult patients who require localized anesthesia during treatment of periodontal disease. And because Oraqix is safe for inflamed tissue and can be used in conjunction with injectable anesthetics, it may offer comfort to patients battling an oral infection and allow clinicians to perform otherwise uncomfortable and painful treatments efficiently while reducing patient anxiety. Oraqix is the only non-injectable pH neutral anesthetic approved by the FDA for Scaling and/or Root Planing.
Oraqix Topical Anesthesia
A needle-free choice for anxiety-free scaling and root planing procedures
- Can be reapplied, as needed, with up to five cartridges per appointment
- Onset occurs within 30 seconds and has a duration of approximately 20 minutes
- Applied directly in the sulcus, the unique, patented, thermosetting system changes from liquid to gel and delivers pain relief where it’s needed
Oraqix is not for injection. Oraqix should not be used in patients with congenital or idiopathic methemoglobinemia.
